About Us/Resources
St. Andrew’s is a parish of the Episcopal Missionary Church (EMC). We moved into our “little chapel in the woods” in April 2001. Our motto is:
Historic, Biblical, Spirit-filled
We are historic in that we are in communion with faithful bishops in the historic Apostolic succession. We embrace the ritual, doctrine and principles of the early church and the Reformation. Our worship is anchored in the theology and liturgical language of the 1928 Book of Common Prayer.
We are Biblical in our commitment to Scripture as the authoritative standard for life and doctrine. Our preaching and teaching is centered on Scripture, and we encourage personal reading of Scripture as well.
We are Spirit-filled in that we realize that the only way to live a life pleasing to God is through the power of the Holy Spirit. We take seriously the New Testament claim that God is alive within us, and strive to live in light of this, and help others do the same.
